Peace be upon you, beautiful human being!
Have you ever had those days where you just want to stay under the covers forever? You feel like the whole world’s against you…and no one understands your struggle?
Well, I just had one of those days. Curled up on the couch with my head in my hands, I shared with my mom, “The batteries need charging.”
Heck yes, they do! At that low point, I had a choice to make:
Was I going to give up because the path was just too hard, or…
Would I cuddle myself to health, dust off my shoulders, and get back in the ring?!
(I’m still here).
The words that brought me the greatest comfort were those of Our Creator and Cherisher, Our Master and Our Lord, Allah (God):
“Whoever fears Allah, He brings forth a way out for him, and will provide for them from an unexpected source; God will be enough for those who put their trust in Him. God achieves His purpose; God has set a due measure for everything.” (Quran 65:3)
When the whole world seems like it’s against you, it doesn’t believe in you, and you have a vision that you know in your heart-of-hearts is your mission, you are not allowed to give up.
With Allah’s Infinite Grace, You MUST get back up. He’s With you. He Knows.
And that’s all that matters.
P.S. My heart is about to burst with gratitude for Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family), for this message of hope, of light and of life…that he sacrificed so much to share with us. I am so grateful for him.
After God, I love him more than anyone else and would give up everything just for a chance to see his (saw) face!
